    Pot

    In a card game Texas Hold’em, pot depending on the amount of money that other players have contributed to the pot, either through ante or a blind bet. Ante means a predetermined number of players in the pot all over the place as the initial funding. This is usually in small amounts, just enough to get the pot started. Technically, players ante is not a real bet, but only a token to begin with even before the cards dealt.

    Money pots can also be derived from the blinds. Starting from left clockwise dealer, players make a “forced” a good bet as the big blind and small blind turns. For betting round, big blind is equal to the minimum bet amount, while the small blind is half that amount. Because this is a bet on startup, no one could make a “check” or pass the bet yet.

    After determining the initial pot, four rounds of card dealing and betting takes place. It is during this time you will determine the amount of your bets based primarily on the hand you are taken care of.
